Brett Barley Gets Crazy Barreled On A Pig Dog

While everyone gets excited (and nervous!) during a hurricane swell, sometimes it’s the storms that don’t quite reach hurricane status that send epic surf to the East Coast. Case in point was “Potential Tropical Cyclone 10” which sent five days of swell to our friends in the mid-Atlantic, most notably the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

And leave it to Superbrand team rider Brett Barley to reap the rewards of the storm without a name. Riding his beloved 5’8” Pig Dog, Barley manhandled the swell with aplomb. But it wasn’t all airdrops and glory tubes—Barley broke two of his favorite Pig Dog’s despite heavy glass jobs and carbon strips up and down the deck and bottom. Gotta pay to play on the OBX!

Time to rush a few replacements to Brett before the next swell!
